Desktop Client
The Desktop Client is used to add and configure cameras, monitor feeds, get alerts, and view activity. It is also used to update and manage the Identity Database. The Desktop Client can be installed on additional laptops or desktops to allow administration and monitoring.
The Desktop Client contains the following windows:
- Camera Feed Analyzer: View, manage, and configure your cameras. This is the default window that your client will open to, although you can change which window is the default on the User Interface tab of the Preferences Window.
- Operator Console: Only available on Windows. A unified UI which SAFR operators can use to manage cameras, monitor events and activities, and view identity information.
- People Window: View and manage your Identity Database. This window can also be used to import identities via saved image files (e.g. photos).
- Events Window: View and manage events. This window can also be used to generate events and register people via saved video files.
- Video Feeds Window: View and manage your video feeds.
- Search by Image Window: Only available on Windows. Allows you to search for individuals enrolled in the Identity Database that are similar to a specified face image.
- Create New Report Window: Create a wide array of pre-defined report types.
- System Configuration Window: Displays general information, account usage information, and licensing information. It also exposes various system configuration options.
- Preferences Window: Configure various preference settings:
- Cloud Licensing - Describes SAFR licenses for SAFR cloud deployments. (i.e. You're using a SAFR Server located in the cloud & managed by Realnetworks.)
In addition, Windows users have additional options available to them:
