Full Person Record Export and Import

siif (SAFR Identity Import Format) files are a proprietary file format used by SAFR to easily transfer one or more person records between SAFR systems.

Export Person Records Into a siif File

You can export one or more of the person records saved in your Person Database to a siif file by doing the following:

On the Desktop Client:

  1. Go to the Tools menu in the upper left corner and select the People Window. (Note: The People Window is the default window, so the client might already be showing the People Window.)
  2. Select all the person records that you want to export to the siif file. Note: If you want to export all the saved person records, you don't need to mark them; there's an option to simply "export all records".
  3. Click the icon in the upper right corner of the window, and select the Export… option.
  4. Select the Complete identity record (.siif) option for the Export format field.
  5. Select the desired option for the Export scope setting.
  6. Click the Export button and select the folder where you want to create the siff file.
  7. The selected person records will now be saved in the newly created siif file.

On the Android Mobile Client:

  1. On the Android Mobile Client, tap the hamburger icon in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Enrolled People. You'll be taken to the client's People Window.
  3. Tap the icon in the upper right corner of the window, and select the Export or Share option.
  4. Select all the person records that you want to export to the siif file.
  5. Tap the Export button immediately to the left of the icon.
  6. The selected person records will now be saved in the newly created siif file.

Import Person Records Using a siif File

You can import all the person records in a siif file into your Person Database by doing the following:

On the Desktop Client:

  1. Go to the Tools menu in the upper left corner and select the People Window. (Note: The People Window is the default window, so the client might already be showing the People Window.)
  2. Click the icon in the upper right corner of the window, and select the Import… option.
  3. Change the file type you're searching for to SAFR Identity Import Files (.siif)*, then select the siif file you want to import the person records from.
  4. On the Select import mode pop-up dialogue, choose whether you want to do a Reconciled import or a Direct import, (The dialogue has full descriptions for both import types.) then click OK.
  5. All the person records that are saved in the siif file will now be enrolled in your Person Database.

On the Android Mobile Client:

  1. On the Android Mobile Client, tap the hamburger icon in the upper left corner.
  2. Select Enrolled People. You'll be taken to the client's People Window.
  3. Tap the icon in the upper right corner of the window, and select the Import option.
  4. Select the **Import from complete identity record (*.siif)** option from the drop-down menu.
  5. Select the siif file you want to import the person records from.
  6. All the person records that are saved in the siif file will now be enrolled in your Person Database.
